Drawn by a nonbinary comics artist, Our Dreams at Dusk tackles adolescence, sexuality and gender head-on. Featuring explosive visual metaphors and lovable (if sometimes frustrating) characters, this is one of my favorite comics to be published in the US this year. Recommended to fans of "On a Sunbeam"!

Originally published independently by its author, Copra reads like Suicide Squad but looks like no other comic ever drawn. Newly republished by Image Comics, now is a better time than ever to begin reading this cult classic.

You think you've given up on superhero comics, and then you read the first few issues of Immortal Hulk. 2000 AD scribe Al Ewing and illustrator Joe Bennett return the character to his days on the road, seasoning thoroughly with the pulp grostesquerie of EC Comics. The result is a Jekyll and Hyde story that, for the first time in years, makes Bruce Banner's green alter ego genuinely scary. Read it and weep!
