While the three protagonists emerge from a more contemporary setting than those in her novels, the stories still pulsate with wondrous loneliness as the men and women within lament predicaments ranging from writing to affairs to love squandered. Though not new, these pieces are a perfect introduction for Keegan newcomers or a welcome addition to the canon for the converted.
