A Death in Denmark, by Amulya Malladi

Imagine Nick Charles (of Dashiell Hammett's The Thin Man fame) sleuthing through contemporary Sweden and you get Gabriel Praest, the private detective driving A Death in Denmark.  Just like Nick Charles, Gabriel has  a taste for good music, fine liquor, and even finer clothes. And also just like Charles, he is dogged and determined. Toss in social commentary about Danish immigration laws and some good-old fashioned Nazi hunting and the story flies in this fast-moving Nordic noir.
