This is a tragic but brilliant graphic novel. In this beautifully illustrated coming of age tale a young woman growing up in France must come to terms with who she is. We follow her through her life and up into her 30's and have the pleasure of watching two people fall deeply in love despite the world seemingly being against them. Julie Maroh explores self-acceptance, family, and the ability love has to change people's lives irrevocably.
