Third Annual Graphic Novel Panel: Finding Your Audience—Perspectives from the Artists

Sunday, September 14, 2014 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm

With plenty for the eye and mind of readers of all ages, the graphic novel is one of the most exciting genres around. Our third annual discussion of recent trends in graphic work focuses on books that have crossover appeal between adult and young adult audiences and features some of the most talented authors and artists of the form. The artists represent a wide array of graphic styles and include Farel Dalrymple, author of The Wrenchies (First Second); Gareth Hinds, Romeo and Juliet (Candlewick), Beowulf and The Odyssey; and Jim Rugg, Street Angel (Adhouse Books). Heidi MacDonald, creator of The Beat, will moderate our discussion. Ages 15 and up.
