Russell L. Riley - Inside the Clinton White House: An Oral History

Upcoming Event
Saturday, January 14, 2017 - 3:30pm to 4:30pm

An associate professor and historian at the University of Virginia, Riley is also co-chair of the Presidential Oral History Program at the University’s Miller Center. He has conducted some three-hundred interviews with senior officials who served in every administration from Jimmy Carter on, and his latest book uses oral history for a fresh behind-the-scenes look at the Clinton White House. Drawing from four-hundred hours of conversations, Riley gives us the words of sixty top policy makers closely involved with events ranging from the conflicts in Somalia, the Balkans, and Haiti to the troubled Health Security Act of 1993 and on to the later scandals.
