Russell Gold - Superpower: One Man's Quest to Transform American Energy — in conversation with Amy Harder
Gold, author of fracking history The Boom, has reported on energy for The Wall Street Journal since 2002, earning a Gerald Loeb Award for his coverage of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. In his new book he explores the country’s move toward cleaner fuel sources, profiling the work of renewable energy pioneer Michael Skelly. A Houston renewable energy businessman, Skelly over the course of eight years built tiny Houston-based Horizon Wind Energy into the second largest wind power company in the United States. Following its $2 billion sale, he founded Clean Line Energy Partners, a firm that reconceptualizes the power grid. Gold will be in conversation with Amy Harder, who covers energy and climate change for Axios.
