P&P Live!: Yaa Gyasi – Transcendent Kingdom - in conversation with Brit Bennett

Upcoming Event
Wednesday, September 9, 2020 - 6:00pm

This event will be streamed online as part of our P&P Live! Series.

Yaa Gyasi is the author of the highly acclaimed debut novel Homegoing and a recipient of the National Book Foundation's 2016 "5 Under 35" Award. Gyasi's brilliant and relevant novel moves through histories and geographies and captures—with outstanding economy and force—the troubled spirit of our own nation. An illuminating speaker, Gyasi captivates audiences with her sincerity and compassion.

Gyasi will be in conversation with Brit Bennett, a graduate of Stanford University, who later earned her MFA in fiction at the University of Michigan, where she won a Hopwood Award in Graduate Short Fiction as well as the 2014 Hurston/Wright Award for College Writers. She is a National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 awardee, and her debut novel The Mothers was a New York Times bestseller. Her second novel The Vanishing Half was an instant #1 New York Times bestseller.

We will be offering a limited number of signed books for our early registrants.
