Upcoming Event
Friday, May 15, 2020 - 7:00pm

This event will be streamed online as part of our P&P Live! Series.

Sarah Urist Green, creator of PBS's The Art Assignment and former curator of contemporary art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, will be joined by John Green and two special guest artists for an evening of lively conversation and interactive art-making in celebration of the publication of her new book, YOU ARE AN ARTIST: Assignments to Spark Creation.

Green will be joined by:

John Green is the New York Times bestselling author of The Fault in Our Stars, Looking for Alaska, and Turtles All the Way Down. He is one half of the vlogbrothers on YouTube and co-creator of educational series Crash Course

Molly Springfield’s text-based drawings have been exhibited widely, including in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as well as in several anthologies.

Stuart Hyatt is a Grammy-nominated artist and musician whose work turns audio field recordings into music that tells evocative stories about marginalized communities.

Instead of a set ticket price, we ask that you contribute what you can to support Politics and Prose Bookstore and our virtual event series. We know that everyone has been affected in these trying times, and we will continue to make our programming accessible to all. That said, a suggested contribution of $5, $10, whatever you can afford, will go a long way to keep our programming—and our bookstore—afloat as we are forced to adapt to new ways of business.

The other way you can support us is always by purchasing a copy of the book from our website.

We are so grateful to be surrounded by such a loyal and engaged community and we thank you for your support, now and always.
