P&P Live! Nora Shalaway Carpenter, Veeda Bybee, Randy DuBurke -Rural Voices: 15 Authors Challenge Assumptions About Small-Town America— in conversation with Mary Quattlebaum

Upcoming Event
Monday, October 12, 2020 - 7:00pm

Many of us forget what a large country the United States is and how our day to day experiences depend on where you call “home”. In this anthology, 15 diverse authors bring stereotype-breaking authentic voices to their stories about the challenges and benefits of growing up in rural America and what they have in common with teens throughout the nation.

Nora Shalaway Carpenter is the author of the critically acclaimed The Edge of Anything. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Originally from rural West Virginia, she currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her family.

Editor and contributor Nora Shalaway Carpenter will be joined by contributors Veeda Bybee and Randy DuBurke. They will be in conversation with Mary Quattlebaum, children's author and Washington Post/Kids Post reviewer.
