This event will be streamed online as part of our P&P Live! Series.

Join P&P for a night of debut fiction, where Megha Majumdar and C Pam Zhang will discuss their respective novels A Burning and How Much Of These Hills Is Gold.

Megha Majumdar was born and raised in Kolkata, India. She moved to the United States to attend college at Harvard University, followed by graduate school in social anthropology at Johns Hopkins University. She currently works as an editor at Catapult.

Born in Beijing but mostly an artifact of the United States, C Pam Zhang has lived in thirteen cities across four countries and is still looking for home. She has been awarded support from Tin House, Bread Loaf, Aspen Words, and elsewhere.

In light of the protests against injustice and police brutality right now, the authors want to acknowledge the importance of not just reading and education, but of direct action. If you are able, Megha and Pam urge you to donate to Act Blue, an organization that splits donations between community bail funds, mutual aid funds, and racial justice organizers.
