P&P Live @ Lunch! Gene Ludwig -- The Vanishing American Dream with Daniel Markovits and Mary J. Miller

Upcoming Event
Wednesday, October 7, 2020 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

This event will be streamed online as part of our "P&P Live @ Lunch!" series.

Join business and economic thought leader Gene Ludwig for a look at the economic challenges that preceded the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, Ludwig gathered a bipartisan group of the nation’s foremost economic thinkers — academics and politicians, CEOs and former presidential advisors — to break with convention and candidly discuss the widening gap between low- and moderate-income Americans and their wealthier counterparts.

In his stirring new book, "The Vanishing American Dream: A Frank Look at the Economic Realities Facing Middle- and Lower-Income Americans," founder and CEO of Promontory Financial Group Gene Ludwig reveals their findings, and the inadequacies of current economic indicators.

Now, in a discussion of his new book with Daniel Markovits (Professor of Law at Yale Law School and founding director of the Center for the Study of Private Law), and Mary J. Miller (senior fellow with the Johns Hopkins 21st Century Cities Initiative), Ludwig invites the Politics and Prose audience for a seat at the table for a bracing look at the road back to widespread opportunity, security, and prosperity.
