P&P Live! Arvin Ahmadi | HOW IT ALL BLEW UP—in conversation with Blair Imani

Upcoming Event
Wednesday, September 23, 2020 - 7:00pm

When an opportunistic bully threatens to out him to his parents on graduation day, secretly buying a one-way ticket to Rome feels like Amir Azadi’s only way forward. Running away is easier than he expected, and soon, late nights with new friends and dates in the Sistine Chapel start to feel like second nature. But his old life isn’t far behind—and when US Customs officers racially profile his Muslim, Iranian family as they’re dragging him back to the States, he's forced to spill his life story in an airport interrogation room. Devastating, uplifting, and utterly engrossing, this unforgettable coming-of-age novel celebrates the way life’s most painful moments can live alongside the riotous, life-changing joys of discovering who you are.
