T’Challa is excited to go to a small town in Alabama to visit his friends Sheila and Zeke over their summer break. He is hoping for a relaxing vacation away from his princely duties where he can explore the rich Southern history and amazing food. T’Challa starts to notice mysterious things around the town as the townspeople fall under the sway of a charismatic politician who goes by Bob. His summer break turns chilling as he and his friends are caught in a plot with a rare ancient spellbook and a man who is not as he seems. In this sequel to his hit novel, The Young Prince, Ronald Smith packs Black Panther: Spellbound with action and eerie mystery.

Ronald L. Smith is an award-winning author of middle grade novels such as Black Panther: The Young Prince, Gloomstown, and The Mesmerist. His first novel, Hoodoo, earned him the 2016 Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Author Award and the ILA Award for Intermediate Fiction from The International Literacy Association. Smith used to work in advertising for big corporations but now spends his time writing Children’s fiction.
