Oliver Munday - Don't Sleep: The Urgent Messages of Oliver Munday — in conversation with Angela J. Davis — at Politics and Prose at The Wharf

Upcoming Event
Monday, April 30, 2018 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Munday’s arresting graphics have appeared on countless book covers as well as in publications including The New York Times, The Atlantic, Time Magazine, and The New Yorker. His bold, uncluttered, and thought-provoking designs make an immediate impact, adding a resonant visual element to ongoing national discussions about war, race, violence, and the Trump era in general. In this beautiful album, Munday, named one of STEP magazine’s twenty-five freshest minds in design, complements highlights of his work with essays that give insight into his practice and philosophy of art, putting it in the wider context of twentieth-century agit-prop, a tradition he’s in the vanguard of adapting to the new social media age. Munday will be in conversation with Angela J. Davis, professor of law at AU’s Washington College of Law.
