Molly McCloskey - Straying — in conversation with Alexandra Zapruder

Upcoming Event
Sunday, March 4, 2018 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

For her latest novel, McCloskey, the 2013 Jenny McKean Moore Fellow at George Washington University, draws on her experience as a citizen of both Ireland and the U.S. to tell the story of Alice, a young American who travels to Ireland in the late 1980s and unexpectedly falls in love, marries, and settles there. Then just as unexpectedly, Alice has an affair that ends her marriage and sets her life on a new course. After spending years working in war zones, Alice returns to Ireland, and as she looks back over her earlier actions, McCloskey delivers an insightful meditation on love, marriage, and the deeper compulsions that drive people. McCloskey will be in conversation with Alexandra Zapruder, author of Twenty-Six Seconds.
