Michelle Smith - The Whole Smiths Good Food Cookbook: Whole30 Endorsed, Delicious Real Food Recipes to Cook All Year Long — at Politics and Prose at The Wharf

Upcoming Event
Monday, June 11, 2018 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Smith started writing the Whole Smiths food blog as a way to help others eat better and get away from processed foods. Focusing on healthful, tasty, and family-friendly recipes, Smith shared the ethos of Melissa Hartwig, creator of the Whole30 program. In the first cookbook fully endorsed and supported by Whole30, Smith offers 150 recipes, from main dishes to desserts, including standbys like sweet potato hash, salmon-avocado salad, and barbecue chicken meatballs, and new favorites, like salmon with shredded squash or the amazing Cloud Eggs Furikake, which features a baked egg yolk nested atop whipped egg whites. As the helpful color-coding indicates, all the dishes are gluten-free, many are Whole30 compliant, and others contain legumes or carefully introduce grains.
