Michael Chabon - Moonglow — at Sixth & I

Upcoming Event
Tuesday, December 6, 2016 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

In his tenth work of fiction, Chabon, best-known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, draws on his own family history as he imagines the murky origins and murkier fate of Chabon Scientific Company, a mail-order novelty business.  This expansive narrative unfolds as an old man’s deathbed confession to his grandson; over the course of his final week, the man leaves a dizzying legacy of half-revealed secrets and shocking revelations as he looks back over a tumultuous century and relives scenes from an impoverished childhood in south Philadelphia, wartime Europe, a prison in upstate New York, and the American space program.
