Mark Greif - Against Everything: Essays

Upcoming Event
Saturday, September 17, 2016 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

A co-founder of n+1 and author of the magisterial intellectual history, The Age of the Crisis of Man, Greif, who teaches at the New School, is one of today’s leading cultural critics. Praised for its wit, acute observations, and graceful style, his work has been selected for two volumes of The Best American Essays series. In his first collection, he scrutinizes telling aspects of contemporary culture, including Radiohead, the Occupy movement, and hipsters, offering deft and devastating critiques in the wryly philosophical yet entertaining vein of Didion and Sontag.

Greif will be in conversation with Leon Wieseltier, former literary editor of The New Republic.
