Join us to celebrate the eighth volume in the Grace and Gravity series, edited by Melissa Scholes Young, author of Flood. An anthology of fiction by Washington area women writers, the series began in 2004, the brain child of Richard Peabody, founder of Gargoyle and Paycock Press. On hand to read from their work and discuss the local literary scene will be Lynn Kanter, a freelance writer and author of Her Own Vietnam and The Mayor of Heaven; Miranda K. Pennington, a writing teacher and author of A Girl Walks into a Book; Jen Michalski, author of five works of fiction, most recently the story collection, From Here; and Tyrese L. Coleman, associate editor for SmokeLong Quarterly and an instructor at The Writer’s Center.
