Lizzy Mason - The Art of Losing—in Children and Teens *for adults and teens*

Upcoming Event
Friday, February 22, 2019 - 7:00pm

When Harley bounds through a locked door at a friend’s party, she doesn’t expect her world to be upended, but that’s what happens. What she sees that night sets in motion a series of events that has dangerous repercussions for herself, her younger sister, Audrey, and her boyfriend, Mike. That night, a drunken Mike attempts to drive Audrey home, and crashes the car as a result. Audrey is left in a coma and Harley must grapple with feeling betrayed by her sister, while also agonizing over her condition. As she struggles to come to terms with what happened, she reconnects with an old friend, who always knows just what to say. This novel, Mason’s first, is an engaging and contemplative examination of growing up, responsibility, and forgiveness. Ages 14 and up.

Mason will be in conversation with Anna Bright, author of the forthcoming The Beholder (June 2019).
