Joshua S. Goldstein - A Bright Future: How Some Countries Have Solved Climate Change and the Rest Can Follow

Upcoming Event
Saturday, February 2, 2019 - 3:30pm to 4:30pm

Climate change affects everyone, but so far, only a handful of nations are developing and implementing ways to replace fossil fuels with low-carbon energy sources. In this urgent call to action that also includes a detailed map of the action necessary, Goldstein, award-wining author of several books on war, peace, diplomacy, and economic history, including Winning the War on War and War and Gender,  looks at innovative strategies now in practice in Sweden, France, South Korea, and Ontario. In just a couple of decades, and without personal sacrifice, people in these places have largely replaced greenhouse-emitting fuels with cleaner alternatives—like Sweden’s kärnkraft, a renewable energy hundreds of times cleaner and safer than coal.
