Joshua A. Claybourn, Alan Taylor, Jason Kuznicki, and Ali Wyne: Our American Story: The Search for a Shared National Narrative
Acknowledging that American society has fractured along innumerable lines of class, race, ethnicity, religion, and geography, Claybourn, an author, attorney, and frequent media commentator, asked a wide range of thinkers from across the political spectrum to speculate on the likelihood of Americans’ creating a new unifying story, and, if so, to suggest what that story might be. Joining Claybourn in this discussion of American identity are contributors Alan Taylor, Thomas Jefferson Professor of History at the University of Virginia and Pulitzer-winning author of The Internal Enemy; Jason Kuznicki, editor of Cato Books and of Cato Unbound, the Cato Institute’s online journal of debate; and Ali Wyne, policy analyst at the RAND Corporation, a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, and a nonresident fellow at the Modern War Institute.
