Joan Waites - A Colorful Tail: Finding Monet at Giverny

Upcoming Event
Thursday, April 25, 2019 - 10:30am

A little red fox lives in Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny, France. As he scampers around, he admires the varied and vivacious colors that inspire the artist’s most famous works. But disaster strikes every year when winter descends, bringing with it an end to spring and summer’s floral vibrancy. The fox tries in vain to preserve the colors by hoarding fallen petals and gathering acorns, but they always disappear. But one day, the fox sees Monet in the garden, creating beautiful flowers with his colorful paints and feels a surge of hope that even in the bleakest of times, brightness and joy can be found. Ages 5-8.
