Jane Harper - The Lost Man — in conversation with Greer Macallister — at Politics and Prose at Union Market, in partnership with the Australian Embassy

Upcoming Event
Sunday, February 10, 2019 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Harper follows up her best-selling Aaron Falk detective novels, The Dry and Force of Nature, with a taut standalone thriller. Set in Western Australia, the novel opens with two brothers, cattle ranchers who live a four-hour drive apart, discovering the body of their third brother. His death is a mystery; to figure out what happened, the surviving siblings return to their childhood home where they confront both the past and an unsettled future. Rather than closure, the family—especially the eldest brother—find intimations of something more menacing. Tense and atmospheric, Harper skillfully draws on the isolation of the Outback for a story shot through with psychological suspense. This event is presented in partnership with the Australian Embassy, who will be providing Australian wine for attendees.
