Immigration Book Discussion for Luis Alberto Urrea's The House of Broken Angels - moderated by Lupita Reads — at Union Market

Upcoming Event
Tuesday, March 5, 2019 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

In conjunction with Washington Performing Arts, P&P is proud to be part of a series of programs focusing on the stories of Latinx immigrants in the U.S. as a prelude to the March 17 simulcast of Dreamers, a new work co-commissioned by WPA, with music by Jimmy Lopez and a libretto by Pulitzer-winner Nilo Cruz. Lupita Aquino, aka “Lupita Reads,” will moderate a discussion of The House of Broken Angels (Little, Brown, $27), a family epic by best-selling Mexican-American author Luis Alberto Urrea, author of Into the Beautiful North, The Devil’s Highway, and other books.
