Dylan Thuras - The Atlas Obscura Explorer’s Guide for the World’s Most Adventurous Kid — in conversation with Anna Rothschild at Takoma Park Library (MD)

Upcoming Event
Wednesday, October 3, 2018 - 7:30pm

The world is your oyster...or your jellyfish lake...or your dino dance floor. The Atlas Obscura is a kid's illustrated guide to the world's most mesmerizing natural and man-made wonders. Readers will hopscotch from place to place, following a thread of wonder. Space enthusiasts can go from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to the Spacecraft Cemetery of New Zealand. Looking for weird weather? Find it in the Honduran "rain of fish", or the Venezuelan "everlasting lightning storm." Not your typical travel book, these global hot spots are all weird, and all real. Must be read to be believed. Ages 9-14.

The author will be in conversation with Anna Rothschild.

Thuras will also be appearing in-store on October 3rd at 10:30 a.m. Click here for more information.
