From Sweet Times in 1991 to 2016’s Dorie’s Cookies,Greenspan has turned outrecipes that are reliably delicious, accessible, and award-winning: Greenspan has won five James Beard Awards, two IACP Cookbook of the Year Awards, and been inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America. Her thirteenth book continues this stellar record with a collection of the dishes she makes most often for her family and friends. These are versatile, homey foods like cherry tomatoes stuffed into red bell peppers and oven-charred, or cannellini beans in cod en papillote. Many can double as side dishes or appetizers. All come with Greenspan’s delightful surprise ingredients and hand-holding instructions. Greenspan will be in conversation with Bonnie Benwick, The Washington Post’s recipe editor and deputy food editor.
