David Coleman - The Fourteenth Day

Sunday, November 4, 2012 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm
When Khrushchev agreed to remove nuclear missiles from Cuba, the missile crisis appeared to have ended. But in fact many Soviet missiles, bombers, and troops remained on Cuban soil, and the situation was still tense. Using recently released White House tapes, Coleman, a University of Virginia history professor, marks the 50th anniversary of these events by filling in overlooked details.
