CANCELLED: Sean Avery - Ice Capades: A Memoir of Fast Living and Tough Hockey — at Politics and Prose at The Wharf

Upcoming Event
Thursday, November 2, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

This event is cancelled - Sean Avery regrets that he can no longer attend due to a scheduling conflict.

Avery was hockey’s “bad boy” during the twelve years he played in the NHL. A left-wing for the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars, and New York Rangers, Avery drew strong reactions from fans, both pro and con. His memoir covers in detail the incidents that earned him repeated fines and suspensions and that, off-ice, landed him in the gossip columns. A dynamic storyteller, Avery gives us an inside look at the glamorous nightlife of New York and Los Angeles, sharing his experiences as a Vogue intern, a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, an activist for marriage equality, an advertising executive, and an owner of Manhattan bars and restaurants

Avery will be signing copies of Ice Capades purchased at the event. He will not be signing any memorabilia.
