Bill McKibben - Falter: Has the Human Game Begun to Play Itself Out?

Upcoming Event
Thursday, April 18, 2019 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Since publishing the now classic The End of Nature in 1989, widely credited with launching the movement against climate change, McKibben has been at the forefront of nearly every fight on behalf of the environment. In addition to a string of books addressing the human impact on the planet—Enough, Deep Economy, and Eaarth—he founded 350.org, a global citizens’ movement working to lower carbon emissions. In his new book he continues this urgent mission, coupling it with a warning about trends like AI and robotics which, along with the ideologies that fuel them, threaten to substantially alter the nature of human experience and possibly end civilization as we have known it.
