The Best Women's Travel Writing Volume 9: True Stories from Around the World & Angie Chuang - The Four Words for Home ♦

Saturday, April 12, 2014 - 3:30pm to 4:30pm

The ninth volume in the popular series The Best Women’s Travel Writing (Travelers’ Tales) takes readers to Cuba and Scotland, Guyana and Moldova, South Dakota and Jordan. As wide-ranging as the destinations are the adventures, lessons, and surprises reported by these thirty women. Join us for a reading and discussion by some of the latest contributors, including Rachel Friedman, author of The Good Girl’s Guide to Getting Lost; Molly Beer, contributing editor to Vela; and Angie Chuang, American University School of Communication professor.

Angie Chuang will also talk about her book, The Four Words for Home (Aquarius Press), which combines journalism and memoir in a moving account of two families, one in Afghanistan and her own Taiwanese relatives in the U.S.

Beer and wine will be available.
