Upcoming Event
Sunday, February 16, 2020 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

This groundbreaking study draws on the authors’ extensive research into radicalization and de-radicalization to present a groundbreaking study of German right-wing extremists. Kruglanski, University of Maryland Distinguished University Professor of Psychology and co-founder and senior investigator at the National Center for the Study of Terrorism and the Response to Terrorism, and Webber, assistant professor at the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University, combine analysis based on their psychological theory of radicalization with forty-three rare interviews with present and former Neo Nazis to illuminate the needs and motivations that draw people to extremist groups, the relations within these organizations, and the factors that can compel people to leave.
