Anne Enright - The Green Road

Friday, May 15, 2015 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Awarded the Booker Prize for her novel, The Gathering, which hauntingly traced the history of an Irish family on the occasion of the death of one of its members, Enright in her ninth work of fiction follows the Madigan clan over the course of thirty years as the four siblings grow up in County Clare then go their various ways—into the priesthood, to Mali, to larger cities in Ireland—eventually reuniting in their old home town for Christmas.

Enright will be in conversation with Jacki Lyden, a former NPR host and correspondent who is now working on the sequel to her memoir, Daughter of the Queen of Sheba.
