Andrew Keen - How to Fix the Future — in conversation with Christopher M. Schroeder

Upcoming Event
Friday, February 16, 2018 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Keen’s 2007 The Cult of the Amateur was one of the first books to express reservations about the unprecedented scale of the internet. Since then digital technology has been implicated in a host of social problems including economic inequality, unemployment, erosion of privacy, and individual alienation. In his new book, Keene, executive director of the Silicon Valley salon FutureCast, identifies five key strategies—competitive innovation, regulation, consumer choice, civic responsibility, and education—for addressing these challenges, and reports from around the world on programs that maximize the potential of technology without compromising our humanity. Keen will be in conversation with Christopher M. Schroeder, an entrepreneur, advisor and investor in interactive technologies and social communications and author of Startup Rising.
