Amanda Litman - Run for Something: A Real-Talk Guide to Fixing the System Yourself — in conversation with Garance Franke-Ruta — at Politics and Prose at The Wharf

Upcoming Event
Tuesday, October 17, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Fed up with politics as usual? Fix it yourself! After the marches, the letters to representatives, and the donations to causes, the next step to effecting meaningful change may be running for office. Litman, co-founder and executive director of Run for Something, a PAC that helps recruit and support young, diverse progressive candidates for elective office, has gathered the wisdom and insight of a wide range of office-holders and political operatives for this primer on getting started in politics. As inspirational as it is practical, Litman’s book also draws on her own experience working on national and local campaigns for figures including Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Charlie Crist.

Litman will be in conversation with Garance Franke-Ruta, former politics editor of The Atlantic Online and current editor-in-chief of Yahoo Politics.
