Alyssa Mastromonaco - Who Thought This Was a Good Idea?: And Other Questions You Should Have Answers to When You Work in the White House

Upcoming Event
Sunday, March 26, 2017 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Mastromonaco’s first book is a vivid and engaging behind-the-scenes look at former President Obama, his staff, and daily life in the Obama White House. Currently chief operating officer at VICE Media, Mastromonaco started working for Obama in 2005, during his race for the U.S. Senate. After his election as president, she served first as the White House director of scheduling and advance, then as deputy chief of staff for operations. She saw and learned a lot in these years, and from her unique vantage point she reports not just on politics but on the strategies she herself developed to be successful, including confidence, cooperation, and hard work.

Mastromonaco will be in conversation with Annie Karni of POLITICO and Audrey Gelman, co-founder of The Wing and a former press aide for the Clinton presidential campaign.
