Alison McGhee - Dear Sister

Upcoming Event
Friday, October 12, 2018 - 10:30am

His parents ask their 8-year-old son to contribute messages to his new sister’s baby book. His notes begin as complaints about her unending whining and crying, but evolve as both brother and sister grow up. Slowly but surely, the messages morph into ones of playful teasing and loving advice. The illustrated novel is told in an epistolary format and brimming with the ruckus that colors all sibling relationships. Dear Sister is an effortless and heartwarming portrait of that specific and special love, inspired by the author’s own children. Ages 10 and up.

This event is free to attend and open to the public, however, reservations are required for school groups interested in attending. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
