Alan Greenspan and Adrian Wooldridge - Capitalism in America — at GW Jack Morton Auditorium

Upcoming Event
Tuesday, October 16, 2018 - 7:00pm

Alan Greenspan, legendary former chair of the Federal Reserve Board, and Economist political editor and historian Adrian Wooldridge give us Capitalism in America, an epic story of America's evolution from a small patchwork of threadbare colonies to the world's most powerful engine of wealth and innovation. Greenspan distills a lifetime of grappling with these questions into a thrilling and profound master reckoning with the decisive drivers of the US economy over the course of its history. There's no better moment to apply the lessons of history to the most pressing question we face: Can the United States preserve its sovereignty, or will we see our leadership pass to other, inevitably less democratic powers?

Greenspan and Wooldridge will be in conversation with Liaquat Ahamed, whose book Lords of Finance was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for History.
