Join renowned American author and journalist Joan Nathan as she hosts a dinner with Algaia Kremezi for the nation’s capital launch of her new book Mediterranean Vegetarian Feasts. Guests will dine on dishes featured in Kremezi’s new cookbook, created by guest chef Alexander Zeppos, The dinner menu will be paired with Greek wines from Importer Sotiris Bafitis of Oenos Import & Distribution.
The dinner menu will consist of a mostly vegetarian Mediterranean Thanksgiving theme of Pepper & Walnut Spread; Nettle Soup with morels and other wild mushrooms served with homemade flat bread with dried figs, spicy cheese and rosemary; Sautéed Olives with carrots braised in orange and olive oil; Quince stuffed with wheat berries, walnuts and raisins, and wood-fired grilled fresh catch of the day. For dessert guests can anticipate Yogurt mousse with pumpkin preserves and Cypriot tahini-cinnamon-walnut buns with lemon syrup.
