“My job is that I lie to children, but they're honest lies.” ~Mac Barnett

Designed for writers at all levels, this four-week workshop will examine structure, character, voice, and plot as we delve into this special form of children’s literature. Each class will consist of writing exercises, wordplay, analyzing exemplary texts and sharing writing with the group. Please bring a notebook, writing utensils, and a small pad of sticky notes. Participants are also encouraged to bring a short list of their favorite picture books to share during the first class.
