Dr Demetrios Matsakis has worked on almost every aspect of modern timekeeping, from building atomic clocks to running the US Naval Observatory’s Time Service Department, which sets the time for GPS and, therefore, for most of the world. He has won numerous awards, given many lectures to the general public, and published over 170 scientific papers, including two on tests of Einstein’s relativity theory. Also a non-mathematical gravityless explanation of why the apple falls from the tree, from Einstein’s point of view.He has also published five short stories that are admittedly science fiction.
