Thought to be one of the greatest poets of the last century, Oliver, who passed away this January, is known for her deeply spiritual work which reminds us to live in awe and wonder. A National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize-winner, Oliver puts the exquisiteness of life into words while leaving blank space for the ineffable.  Class takes place in classroom at Politics and Prose Connecticut Ave location. Rabbi Shira focuses on making Jewish meaning and building Jewish community for young professionals as Sixth & I’s senior rabbi. She graduated from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 2007, where she was a Wexner Graduate Fellow. She is an alumna of Columbia University and the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School.
