Elements of Writing: Character from the Ground Up (1821)

Two Tuesdays: March 13, 20, 6 to 8 p.m.

Price:
$60 (10% off for members)

In this three-session course, we'll tackle characterization head-on by discussing vital aspects of building characters who pop off the page. We'll look at examples from published fiction and do targeted exercises that explore various strategies to make your characters feel alive. Whether you're in the middle of a piece or just have an idea for one, this course will help you get a handle on how to populate the stories you're telling with vivid personalities that establish an emotional connection with readers.

*Classes in our “Elements of Writing” series do not need to be taken in conjunction – they are stand-alone writing classes intended for customers to work on specific building blocks of their writing while getting to know some of our writing instructors.
