The third anniversary of P&P’s branch at The Wharf is just weeks away, so we’d like to take this opportunity to thank our customers in southwest DC for their support and let everyone know how pleased we are to be serving the community there.
Stretching along the Washington Channel of the Potomac River, The Wharf has succeeded in revitalizing a once historic District neighborhood by joining stores and restaurants with apartments, hotels, offices, and entertainment venues in a community unlike any other in the city. The Wharf’s varied attractions—including The Anthem music center, four public piers, waterfront promenade, open-air fish market, and more—have proven popular draws for DC residents and tourists alike. During the summer especially, The Wharf is a great place to stroll, grab a bite, or stop and shop.
A range of covid-safe options exist for outdoor dining and drinks. Just check out the list here. And if you’d like to enjoy a movie under the stars, try the new Sunset Cinema series, where viewers are socially distanced at tables or cabanas on Transit Pier while movies appear on a big screen on a floating stage.
P&P’s Wharf store, located in District Square, is open six days a week (Tuesday to Sunday) from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. It carries a wide assortment of books and many appealing gift items. If you’d rather not go inside, the store offers pick-up service out front.
Please come visit us if you haven’t already. If you’re already familiar with our Wharf store, we hope to see you back there soon.
