The Great Wall: High Above and Down Below (Hardcover)
Since 1584 our view of the Great Wall has evolved. First came map depictions, then field drawings and engravings. Photography followed, first at a few accessible locations, before explorers went further to see much more. Now there’s an exhilarating new perspective. This full-color photo essay features fifty aerial panoramas that reveal the diversity and character of this landscape-dominating and superlative-defying structure.
James Lindesay and Thomas Lindesay are known for their superb aerial photography. William Lindesay is the first non-Chinese man to walk the entirety of the Great Wall. He founded the International Friends of the Great Wall in 2001 and has written many books.
