Teach Me to Cook, Grandma by Ellen Atwell


The United States is a country made up of many cultures. This is a book of stories that focus on five of those cultures including Mexican, Jewish, southern United States, Jamaican and Swedish. Children learn to cook with grandparents. Recipes are included.

Ellen Atwell has devoted her entire professional life to the education of children. Her experience includes teaching Kg. in public school; teaching at the D.C. Society for Crippled Children sponsored by the Easter Seal Society, as well as, founding and teaching at The Holden Montessori Day School. She taught Child Development as a lecturer at Gallaudet College for the deaf and hearing impaired. She has also opened and operated her catering business for ten years.
