If you are not able to attend an event, you can purchase a copy of the event book in advance from Politics & Prose and we can have the author sign it for you. After the event, we can either hold the book for pick up in-store or mail it to you.

We cannot guarantee that requests for personalized inscriptions will be accommodated. It is entirely up to each individual author whether or not they are willing to personalize, and to what degree. In the rare case that we are unable to fill an order for a signed book, you will be contacted and can return the purchase for full credit.

We will accept a customer’s own copy of an author’s book to be signed if it is left in person at the bookstore, and with the purchase of the event book at Politics & Prose. However, many authors have restrictions on the signing of non-event titles, so we cannot guarantee that these books can be signed.

We cannot accept books to be signed through the mail. Any books that we receive will be returned to sender unsigned. We also cannot guarantee that books purchased for an author event will be first editions.  

Politics & Prose is not responsible for any damage to, or loss of, any customer books left for author signings or for any books left unclaimed after 90 days from purchase.
