"Passage of Power" Robert A. Caro
|
Robert A. Caro spoke about his book, The Passage of Power, with Politics & Prose on Wednesday May 9, 2012. The eagerly awaited fourth volume in Caro's monumental biography of Lyndon Johnson chronicles the 1960 election, LBJ's relationships with John and Robert Kennedy, his frustrated tenure as vice president, the shock of JFK's assassination, and Johnson's masterful assumption of the presidency before the debacle of Vietnam. This event is co-sponsored with POLITICO and in-conversation with Mike Allen, POLITICO's chief White House correspondent. |
