This four-session workshop is about discovering the joy of papier mache sculpture. No specific skills are required; the only things needed are your five senses and your creativity.

In the first class we will discuss the various uses of paper and begin to build structures for two or three sculptures. Each participant will first construct a set project, then work on his or her own creation. In class two we will get our hands in the glue to start the papier mache. In class three we will explore volumes and add layers of papier mache. And finally we will create a finishing coat with paper from books, then varnish and photograph the sculptures.

The sculptor will provide all materials.

Please come with your apron.
